Five pastoral themes emerged from our prayerful reflection on the experience of working for justice, ecology and peace.
At the heart of it all is love; the love of God motivates, guides and calls us.
Encounter, dialogue, accompaniment and inclusion are pastoral approaches that flow from and embody God’s love in the vast network of relationships between groups in society and with the rest of creation.
These pastoral approaches are grounded in Scripture, Catholic Social Teaching, and the lived witness of the Catholic tradition.
Together they help us to live in right relationship with one another, with God, and with the whole of creation. They help us to make God’s Kingdom of justice, love, and peace more present on earth as it is in heaven. They encourage us to walk together in a more synodal path as the People of God.
