Alongside our dialogue with people and communities who are left out, we dialogue with scripture and the Church’s social tradition which includes l documents from the Popes, Church Councils and Bishops. We also dialogue with the experience and action of Christians and communities throughout history. We seek to do more than distil a set of universal principles to be applied robotically to every situation of injustice. Through these dialogues we listen for the heartbeat of God in the world. We try to read the signs of our times and interpret them for the benefit of all. We enrich our discernment about what is happening in our society and our world today through dialogue with other religions, cultures and with the earth itself.
